who knows what she’s gonna say

Yesterday was a great day of music, friends, a delayed visit from the sun and some nice, cold pints of cider. Forbidden Fruit festival took place in the amazing grounds of Kilmainham Hospital, home to the Irish Museum of Modern Art, right here in the heart of Dublin City. After a sun-drenched Saturday and complaints of not enough bars (90 minute queues, ouch) we headed out to the site under drizzly grey skies, but with bellies full of amazing brunch and mango bellinis.
My uniform for the day, which I failed to get photos of, consisted of wet-look leggings, a grey and white print Guess tunic that I bought in New York for something cheap and some silver glitter Converse, topped off with a khaki green lightweight parka jacket.
Highlight of the day was the sun coming out during Caribou’s set & subsequently playing an extended version of ‘Sun’.

Caribou

Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip

Carte Blanche (plus awesome dancers)
Other highlights were: Battles, Aphex Twin, the banter onstage between Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip and the Trinity College orchestra playing Daft Punk to get things started (once they’d sorted out the sound issues). I was gutted to miss Amanda Blank and Spank Rock, but we’ll blame Bulmers for that.
Today I just threw on whatever was to hand for a hangover brunch of roast turkey and homemade lemonade. You guys really don’t want to see the state of my hair and face after yesterday’s celebrations, so here’s the edited version!
Topshop pleather & jersey contrast skinnies, vintage silk cami, topshop kimono, Dunnes Stores pumps

Embroidery and button detail on silk cami

I love the contrast of the floaty feminine chiffon Kimono and the toughness of the pleather pants
Having been celebrating both mine & my boyfriends birthdays, aswell as the festival, i’ve been absent from the internet for about 4 days, so i’ve LOTS of blogs to catch up on. The perfect bank holiday Monday fodder!
